S'PORE FOOD EXPO 2008

well well.. wat can i say... muahaha.. a little auntie-fied.. but i went to the food expo today..

so happy.. lotsa great deals to grab.. lotsa foodies ard, squeezing the asses out of each other.. and simply, lotsa food to sink ur teeth into..

i jio jac along.. cos well.. 2 obasans can grab more stuff mah.. and since we so free, might as well juz get out instead of rotting at home..

so we drove to expo, went to the robinson's sale first over at hall 7.. then we hop over to popular fair next.. we didn wanna go food expo first cos we scare by the time we come out and move to the next hall, we will stink the hell off pple there.. u noe de lah.. food expo damn smelly.. all the food smell congregate within the same area.. it;s like u smell like otak in ur hair, satay on ur shirt, shark's fin soup on ur pants, so on and so forth.. ya lah.. u noe de lah.. the idea is there..

after the popualr thg, we went to food expo.. gosh were we famished.. so we walked in and jac started the ball rolling with some purchase of pau.. all sorts of pau, chicken, honey chicken.. i bought lian rong ones.. pretty cool.. and we spend a hefty 12+bucks there.. then we bought some sausages.. gosh, heavenly, juz a little salty though. then it was laksa time.. jac craved for it since the time she was at england.. so it;s sorta fuffil her cravings this time round.. then for drinks, we bought mr bean stuff.. (mine was bandung with pearls.. tasted a little flat.. but the pearls saved it) then jac went on to buy munchy's biscuits, seaweeds for the both of us.. and i got coffee for pa.. pretty gd deal.. and we really obasan-ish bought lotsa stuff and squeeze with lotsa pple.. cool..

y will i wanna go back, since i noe fr last yr it was a bad experience.. all the food smell straight into my scalp, tt i cant get the smell of even after 2 days.. well.. juz wanted to go back and reminicse the past.. nothg much has changed.. it felt like recently.. all th big players still got pretty much the same positions as they took last yr.. but my ex-company is not there le.. so sad.. (scoffs) watever.. ya.. the feel of being an exhibitor there and a customer there is so different.. the feel.. it's juz.. so different..

to jac: seriously, we damn obasan today lor.. cannot like tt le.. very spoil image one lor.. muahaha

ya ya.. as the title suggests.. i wanna complain..

i was planning to get a pair of mphosis birks for xuan for her bdae pressie..

so i went to taka's branch last thu.. they dun hav it, so they say they will transfer it fr parkway parade, and it will take 3-4 wking days.. i thot, ok lah..

at least i dun hav to go all the way down to PP to get it.. after i come home, i thot, actually i shld get them to transfer to PS, nearer for me to collect also.. so i called back to taka and get them to change the transfer outlet.. and the same salesperson who serve me said she will infrom PP and PS for me..

so i waited and waited, over the weekend.. but still no call fr them.. i still thot, is it cos i wrote the wrong phone no. down? hmm..

and when i finally went down to tampines branch, cos juz shun bian pass by, i went in to ask.. the salestaff help me call PS.. and PS say they nv receive and news for the transfer (tt means the shoes is not there also)... and when they called PP, the so-callled high post one not ard... so the person over at PP cant help much.. and when they callled taka, the person who serve me tt time was on leave.. damn it man... i was on the brink of exploding le..

and the angry thg which i receive was, they alr clear tt stock le.. so none of the outlets hav tt design le.. so i thot, ok choose the other one.. i went to take, flip ard and look at the pr tag.. ok can, hav xuan's size.. so i wanna take tt one.. then when the ger appeared fr the store, she told me tt no more size le.. and she happily took out her "blankco" and liquid off the no. 6 fr the pr tag..

wah sai.. super buay song le..

so i ask, which branch has this design??? and she check for me, marina sq has.. so tt means i hav to "happily go down " to marina sq to collect it.. damn mphosis... make me run here and there.. and the salesperson still tell me, i hav to be there b4 8.. cos they close at 8 to prepare for their sale on fri.. wah.. super liao.. i juz exploded there and then, on the spot.. super dun giv them face..

i noe it;s not the tampines' staff's fault.. juz she so suay lah.. got to serve me.. and she also nv do svs recovery.. at least volunteer to transfer the shoes for me lah.. she still tell me, if i dun go get it tmr, i will hav to wait til the sales is over b4 i can get them.. ho seh liao lor.. now it;s MY RESPONSIBLITITY to get them le lor, not mphosis' to get it for me, despite all their promises b4..

so everyone, juz a note, dun accept promises fully.. cos they are meant to be broken..

damn it, juz spoil my day.. and to think i owe xuan;s pressie for so long,.. all thanks to mphosis.. and i wonder, wat is their emphasis here man.. so ironic.. for a name like this and a svs like tt...

movie with jac..

haha.. well well.. wanted to go ride bicycle with jac at east coast.. but then, a change of plan and we ended up at tampines mall, catching a movie..

she chose "congkak".. it;s malay movie with english and chinese subtitles.. so we thot, not bad sia.. shld try it out.. we were early.. so we juz go get our food and proceed into the cinema juz slightly b4 3.. (the movie started at 315pm) there was not a single soul ard.. and we thot, die lah.. dun tell me like tt time when we went to catch "recycle" at bishan J8, also no one except us and a grp of 3 young boys..

then, the crowd started coming in.. we thot, ok lah, not bad for a weekday movie slot.. haha.. then, we turn ard and saw, wah.. all malay frens.. and were the only 2 chinese gers in the cinema.. no offence or wat so ever, juz tt.. we suddenly felt outnumbered.. haha.. like watching movie at lion city plaza like tt.. haha..

the movie started.. super scary lah.. the sound effects so loud we almost went deaf.. haha.. then the ghost juz come in and out.. i let out a super loud scream and the machek in front of me turn ard and laugh at me.. super paiseh sia..

i didn finish my nachos also.. partly cos i was very full... and also cos i had no time to eat.. had to keep myself busy with using my hands and covering my eyes and ears.. super busy sia.. and the uncle sitting behind us so funny.. he will use malay and comment on some scenes in the movie.. like when there;s no one but there;s knocking sound, he will say "tak orang".. and when the pple in the movie had their ride home, he will say "balik".. haha

on the whole, the movie is gd lah.. really horror man.. shld giv it a try..

volunteer wk!!!

well well.. it was vesak day over the past wk end.. and i was "down for duty" at the temple.. haha.. well well.. i was there to do some volunteer wk, floral arrangement i mean..

the followers will come into and but the follwers to pray, and we were there to do up all these floral arrangements..

super shagged sia.. we did like almost 630 pots.. of cos, with the help of other aunties.. but then, it was really a test to the creativity man.. the only time each yr where i will use up all my creativity is during vesak day man.. muahaha.. hood cho will be so proud of me..

anyway, we went for the chuan deng, tt is, passing the lights... and after tt.. we had lor mee for supper at the temple.. muahaha.. i guess we went super high after tt.. and we started cam-whoring..

bdae dinner with xuan

xuan's bdae is coming.. this sunday, 18th may.. so we had an early celebration with her..

met up at raffles city for a dinner at seasons reasons.. cool rite? it;s been a long time since our last meet-up.. had mine with xuan during feb, for her hall prodn.. but with xiang, last proper meet-up was in jan, for my bdae.. (although i juz met xiang on wed to buy pressie) so yupz.. it;s been quite a while le..

xiang wasn feeling well.. she suffered fr food poisoning this aft.. was puking and diarrhoea.. so she was late cos she need to go visit loc-ter b4 meeting us.. but then, thank xiang for her effort to come, despite feeling unwell... well done xiang.. and thanks for the effort.. and for decorating xuan's pressie.. (although i still owe her her pair of slippers..)

me and xuan had grilled salmon and xiang had ceasar salad.. poor thg, cos sick mah.. so cant eat much of the oily and deep fried stuff..

bitch a lot.. talk a lot.. gossip a lot.. no lah.. it;s the usual update of our lives.. like how our studies hav been, how exams suck, and a lot more.. it's the meet-ups tt allow us to noe each other and how our lives have been progressing..

despite it been juz seasonal meet-ups, the quality within is enuf to hold our frenship.. thanks the babes for this frenship.. my life is indeed different after knowing u all.. thank god for u all..

K finally..

we went k!!! finally it came true.. haha... not tt ignition haven been gg for k-sessions b4, juz tt we mv go in full strength.. the last time i went was with pei only.. so funni sia.. but we had fun lor.. cos only 2 of us... so it;s "quick ur turn" then after 4 mins "ur turn quick".. haha..

and i nv been to k with nee b4.. so today's 1st time!!! but promise, there's more to come..

and same for with gang hao.. cos i was away when ignition went k tt time.. had always wanted to hear him sing "yi liao bai liao" he nv sing this song today though, but sure to force him to sing the next time round.. (ok ah, someone organise for the next time one ah)

was not in top form.. to the extent my voice was "floating" (if u understand wat i mean).. it totally screwed up when i tried to sing the hokkien song.. all thanks to pei pei's dedication.. so alamak lor.. haha..

well well, as fu mama is off fr s'pore and away in perth enjoying herself, i hav to stay in s'pore to be her part-time domestic helper.. nah.. i cant go cos i had to be here for 2 papers.. BE (which sux to the core, dunno whether will pass not) and PIM (my graduating paper, officially) so ya.. stranded here in s'pore

my itinenary for today:

540am:woke up.. bathe
620am:left home to go xiao gu's hse
7am : pray ah gong
820 am:eat breakfast (had laksa, fried carrot cake.......)
9am :left to come home
920am: wipe the dining table, coffee table, tv console, scrub the balcony floor, bathe, wash clothes
1114am: blog...

and for the rest of the day, it will be ch 8, ch u, and youtube.. haha..
